Climate Action Callander formed as a group to spearhead action on climate change for the Callander community.

Over the past few years we have developed an action programme that would build’s off Callander’s previous Climate Action Plan which was developed in 2012. It also builds on the momentum of the Community Climate Fringe Festival which celebrated 24 events over 9 days in the run up to Glasgow’s COP26.

Our National Lottery Together for our Planet proposal which ran between 2022-2025 was to support community engagement in climate action through establishing a website, creating promotional material and to identify expertise to facilitate discussions and develop actions. We wanted to review the status of the earlier Climate Action Plan to establish what had been done and what was still to be done that was relevant to our future. We used the existing activity themes to help structure our activities (see diagram) and you can also find out more here.
